RONG

Our story begins when Rong and Brady met back in 2007 when Brady was traveling around researching for locations around Thailand. Rong was running a bar in Ko Lanta that was connected to the resort that Brady was staying at. In fact, Brady didn’t even check in until 2am because he spent the entire day sitting with Rong at the bar getting to know Rong. They instantly clicked and Brady starting telling Rong about his plans to start a tour company that would simply mesmerise people from all over of the world.

Brady was planning on only spending one night in Ko Lanta but after meeting Rong he decided to stay for a few more nights. Rong and his friends at the bar just created such a fun and welcoming environment that Brady just couldn’t leave. 6 months later Brady had the first tour group arrive in Thailand. With only four people on tour there was no need to for two tour guides, but Brady took the group to stay at the resort in Ko Lanta and Rong got to meet the very first LBW tour group. Everyone partied and had a blast.

Six months later another tour group of four arrived, and again, Rong met up with the group and showed them around Ko Lanta and Ko Phi Phi.

Brady and Rong watched the company grow from four person tours one year, to having over 1000 people travel per year. As the company grew, the opportunities grew, and Brady always remembered Rong saying that his dream was to get a Harley Davidson. So one year for Christmas, Brady bought Rong a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The gift was out of the kindness of Brady's heart to say thank you for all the help Rong gave over the years and most importantly believing in a dream which was not possible without Rong.

After many years of guiding for LBW, Rong and Brady had the idea of building a homestay in Krabi Thailand that would accommodate LBW tour groups and any walk ins or bookings online; before you know it in May 2014 work began and by the new year the Homestay was fully operational.
